I have been and continue to be fascinated by exploration and change.  Early in my life, I discovered through looking into a mirror that my reflection was not I, it was my alter ego, the personification of another deeper self.  Seeking to reach into my being and draw from this source lead me to a discovery of another kind.  Determined to analyze this dichotomy, I questioned my duality.   
 
My inner world has sought the spirit. To acquaint myself with the unknown, reaching as far as I can go is my quest.  This excavation compels me to express to others what I have gathered.   
 
My appreciation of art, cinema, culture, history, literature, music, and travel plays a significant role in my outer world.  Much of what I have learned about these disciplines has been through my perpetual curiosity.  Exposure to a life enhanced by aesthetics balances my external universe.
 
What was once a chronicle of a struggle to find myself led to a transformation and courage to be a creator both as a Writer and an Actress.      
 
I write books to synthesize and unlock the mysteries of life and as a storyteller, to enlighten, educate, and entertain. My themes include contemporary America, Mexico, and Europe, women, migration, history, myth, family, and the joys and challenges of living in a multicultural world.

I aim to shape narratives and raise insights to capture the complexity of a story reflecting the deep threads of love, hope, and bravery that define a life and a family.
