Within the coronavirus pandemic, two camps have emerged: those that believe it’s really bad, and those that don’t. What has taken place is that people start to energetically go to war with each other.
Personally, I thought it was being overblown by the news which in reality is only six corporations. I questioned how many would have died anyway? Were these folks vulnerable? Every 12 seconds an American dies. And as a friend so eloquently put it, those who choose not to meditate fall into the hands of the crisis. But also what is most important to share is what others do not like to hear; death is inevitable and not everyone is going to die in the comfort of their beds. Death is not a finality but simply a transition. Groups of souls incarnate and give their lives for the greater sake of all; as a way for humanity to evolve. One such incident was the Holocaust.
Pandemics point to society losing its way.
Being frightened is the opposite of what we need to do. Viruses live and feed on low immunity. And one of the quickest ways to lower your immune system is to be afraid, angry or depressed. Rallying against each other will make us and the world sicker.
As I go about my day, I send compassion and kindness to everyone I encounter. I have chosen not to watch or read the news and will not create further negativity.
I will not rally against my fellow sisters and brothers and lower my immune system by living in fear.
Now is the time to practice bringing light to the darkness, or making light out of this dark time.
Here are some things you can do while taking precautions:
Send a video message to everyone you love
Visualize being in nature
Read books and commit to understanding their message
Put on music and dance
Play an instrument and if you don’t have one think again; you have a voice, sing, or get out the pots and pans!
Walk somewhere new and enjoy the environment
Start a creative project
Draw or paint
Embroider, sew, quilt, or make something with your hands
Play with children and your pets
Take this time for deep reflection, upping your spiritual practice, or deep diving into personal projects.
Take advantage of this time of forced isolation. Turn away from drugs, alcohol, over-eating or other numbing devices. Instead, practice introspection, change, pivoting, adaptation, embracing uncertainty, embracing life, death, rebirth … everything that is a part of the spiritual life.
Together, we’ve got this.
Thank you
